We kindly ask that prior to our integration that our partners implement the Skyscanner conversion pixel
The purpose of the tracking pixel is to give visibility on the sales that get generated on your site, by users leaving Skyscanner.
A tracking pixel is a 1 pixel square image that you include on the confirmation page. It is installed like an image, and the URL of this image has various parameters to pass information on the booking that was made. When the confirmation page loads, it makes a hit to the Skyscanner servers through the tracking pixel, and records a sale on our side.
We ask that you install the pixel on the confirmation page, and not at intermediate steps so that the pixel only executes when a sale is actually made.
More information on how to implement the pixel can be found on the Hotels conversion pixel section found
Before we can integrate we test that the pixel has been implemented correctly in order to prevent release at a later stage. In order to do this we require a fully tracked/priced deeplink in order to run a test booking. Once the pixel has successfully fired with all the necessary parameters we can move onto the development phase of the integration
Please Note: we will provide you with a partner id at the beginning of the integration process. If you have not yet been provided with one please reach out to us
