This guide outlines the basic workflow interactions, explaining how to use the filters, chart components, and save functionality, enabling you to use the New Travel Insights Vision effectively and provide actionable insights.
Workflow Overview
1. Filters Panel (Left Side)
The filters panel on the left allows users to adjust specific criteria for the analysis. You can customise your search to get insights tailored to your needs by setting filters such as:
- Search Period allows you to specify the time range for when passengers perform travel searches. You can select periods like "previous calendar month" or custom date ranges.
- Months Before Travel allows you to understand how far in advance passengers are searching for flights before their travel dates. By adjusting the slider, you can analyse whether passengers tend to search for flights well ahead of their planned departure or closer to their actual travel date.
- Route: Narrow down the results by specifying origin and destination airports or countries.
- More Filters: Select filters for marketing carriers, markets, flight legs, cabin class, and day of the week.
Each filter directly affects the data shown in the charts, enabling more granular or broader views of airline market share and other metrics.
2. Key Metrics at a Glance (Top of Dashboard)
Once the filters are applied, the TIV modules have key performance indicators (KPIs) at the top of the dashboard that provide an immediate summary of your selected metrics. For example:
- Average Network Market Share: Displays the selected airline’s market share across the selected routes and filters.
- Overall Market Size: Shows the total number of passenger redirects (e.g., total market size in the form of redirected passengers for selected filters).
The KPIs are updated dynamically based on the filters selected, allowing quick insights into overall performance.
3. Interactive Charts and Drill-Downs
The chart is interactive, allowing users to hover over the lines to view more detailed data points for specific airlines, routes, markets and dates.
4. Saving Your Analysis
- After adjusting your filters and generating the charts, you can Save Your Analysis by clicking the blue "New analysis" button at the top left.
- You can create multiple saved analyses for different scenarios or periods.
- For updates or further adjustments, use the Update Selected Analysis button to modify an existing analysis based on new filter selections.
