At Skyscanner, ensuring a seamless and secure travel experience for our users is a top priority. Clause 13 of the Skyscanner Partner Policy outlines the requirements for partners offering self-transfer flight itineraries—where travelers must take two or more separate flights to reach their destination. To safeguard users from potential disruptions, we require that all such itineraries come with a comprehensive self-transfer protection or guarantee. This includes coverage for flight replacements, refunds, accommodation, and other necessary expenses in the event of travel disruptions. Additionally, Skyscanner retains the right to review and filter out itineraries that do not meet our protection standards, particularly if there is evidence of increased user complaints.
Clause 13 of the Skyscanner Partner Policy:
13. You shall ensure that any constructed flight itinerary products where a User must take two or more flights to reach their destination (known as a "self-transfer" itinerary), will be offered to Our Users by You with some form of self-transfer connection protection or guarantee (this must include flights replacement, refund and cover accommodation and other expenses). All such itineraries will be approved in accordance with the process outlined here and we retain the right to filter out such content from our website/app should we have a reasonable belief that the itinerary is not providing adequate protection for Our Users (for example if we receive a sharp increase in User complaints)
