We allow our flight partners to offer discounted fares via Promocodes. The discounted fares must be available in the API response to be displayed to travellers.
Please note that this only applies to existing Skyscanner integrated partners that fulfill the requirements detailed below.
Requirements
Please note that we can only support limited implementation options. As an initial assessment of whether it will be possible to implement this Promocode, please consider the conditions below.
- The Promocode fares must be accessed by adding a parameter to the existing API call
- The start and end of the Promocode validity must be at least 1 month from now
- The discount must be either
- a simple amount (e.g. $5)
- or a percentage (e.g. 5%)
- The conditions that trigger the Promocode must be one (or more) of the following:
- Sale date
- Flight date
- Journey type (One Way, Return)
- Cabin class (e.g. Economy, Business)
- Route (e.g. LHR-JFK)
- Market (e.g. UK market)
- Language (e.g. en-UK)
If all of the above apply, we will likely be able to proceed with the implementation.
Test Code
Based on API fare availability and deeplink construction, we may need a code to test the integration before going live. Our team will let you know during the integration process if this will be required.
Downstream Visibility
As part of the Promocode implementation, to track price accuracy and ensure the discounted fare is available and accurate upon redirection, we also require Downstream Visibility Tracking to be installed. Please refer to this article for additional information. If you have not implemented Downstream Visibility, the full documentation including parameters needed to implement Downstream Visibility will be shared during the integration.
