Accessibility laws vary between countries and industries, but anyone operating in the EU needs to be aware of the new EU Accessibility Act. It applies to private sector organisations and “requires everyday products and services to be accessible for persons with disabilities”.
By June 2025, services which are in scope should be designed to “maximise their foreseeable use by persons with disabilities”, and travel booking websites are in scope. It we don’t comply, we risk fines and plenty negative press, which nobody wants.
As accessibility is more of an organisational culture shift than a one-off checkbox exercise, it takes time. We can help you start the accessibility ball rolling so that come June 2025, you’re already on the journey, making it so much easier to respond to any customer complaints or lawsuits.
