What's Changing
We're rolling out Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to all users of Partner Portal. Starting soon, after entering your password, you'll be asked for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone. This keeps your account secure even if your password is ever compromised.
How to set up MFA:
Step 1 — Install an Authenticator App
Before you're prompted, install one of these free apps on your smartphone:
App | Available on |
|---|---|
Microsoft Authenticator | iOS, Android — works offline; recommended for users in China and Asia |
Authy | iOS, Android, desktop — supports backup and multi-device sync |
Google Authenticator | iOS, Android — note: may not be available in China and some regions |
Okta Verify | iOS, Android — common in enterprise environments |
Step 2 — Set Up MFA (First Login)
Go to the Partner Portal login page and enter your email and password as usual.
A QR code will appear on the screen. This is a one-time setup step.
Open your authenticator app → tap Add account → tap Scan QR code and point your camera at the screen.
Can't scan the code? Tap "Trouble Scanning?" on the screen and enter the setup key manually.
Your app will display a 6-digit code — enter it, then tap Continue. The setup is complete.
Step 3 — Logging In Going Forward
Enter your email and password.
Open your authenticator app and find the Skyscanner Partner Portal entry.
Enter the current 6-digit code. Codes refresh every 30 seconds — if one doesn't work, wait for the next one.
FAQs
The code isn't working. What do I do?
Check that your phone's clock is set to sync automatically (Settings → Date & Time → Set Automatically). Authenticator codes are time-based and will fail if your phone clock is out of sync.
I've lost my phone or changed devices. How do I get back in?
Please create a support ticket via Zendesk. We can reset your MFA so you can re-enrol on your new device.
Will I be logged out of my current session when MFA is enabled?
No, your existing session will continue. You'll be prompted to set up MFA the next time you log in.
I already use an authenticator app for other services, do I need a separate one for Skyscanner?
No. Add Skyscanner as a new entry in your existing app. It will appear alongside your other accounts and generate its own independent codes.
Our team shares a single Portal login. How does this work?
MFA is tied to the device used for initial setup, so shared logins are not compatible with standard MFA. We recommend that each team member have their own individual account. Your organisation's admin in Partner Portal can invite team members directly through the Team Management settings. If you don't have an admin or need help, please create a support ticket via Zendesk.
