If results are cached, another search with the same parameters will not trigger a new API call. More details on our cache can be found in the article: Cache
In addition to caching, there are also limitations in the partner configuration that may prevent an API request from being made for a search. These include:
- Route restrictions (specific airports, countries, continents, etc). For further information on route configuration, see our article Route Configuration.
- Market restrictions (integration enabled only for users in specific markets, e.g. UK)
- Date restrictions (for example restricted today’s bookings, long term bookings)
- Restrictions on passenger type or numbers (e.g: infant searches not supported)
