Why is Skyscanner asking for a new range of IP addresses to be added to the allowlist / safelist?
Over 100 million travellers around the world trust us each month to help them find the best flights, hotels and car hire and we continue to grow. In order to ensure that we build your itineraries into our search results in a fast and reliable manner, we need to continually evolve our existing hosting infrastructure as well as deploying into more and more locations worldwide.
To support this continued growth, we will need to update the source IP addresses that we can contact you from.
When do I need to have the new range added to my allowlist?
Please review the IP addresses and ensure that these are added into your systems by April 25th 2025.
Why are you adding such a large subnet range?
This larger range allows us to double our global footprint with the addition of a single IP range: while we will only be sending traffic from a small range of IP addresses within the subnet, we may change which IP addresses we actually use quite frequently as we grow our infrastructure and add new points of presence across the globe.
What if I can only include individual IPs on the allowlist / safelist?
Whilst we may be able to provide a subset of IP addresses that we will send traffic from under normal conditions, this will be at the expense of reliability. During times of network disruption, we may need to change the source IP addresses that traffic is sent from at very short notice. Also, we may require to change the IP addresses we send traffic from during normal operation at relatively short notice as our infrastructure grows, so you would need to be able to update your firewall configuration reasonably frequently.
What if I cannot safelist your IP addresses?
Skyscanner also supports a variety of API authentication methods - please speak with your account manager to discuss the alternatives for integrating with Skyscanner.
Should I remove my existing safelisted IPs?
If you have been a long-standing Skyscanner partner, you may have old ranges that are no longer in use, so please remove these from your systems.
